Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Charles A. and Diamontina (Perry) Tavares she was a lifelong area resident. She was a member of the Full Gospel Christian Fellowship in New Bedford.
Ms. Stephenson worked as a sewing machine operator in the garment industry for many years. Marjorie enjoyed singing, crafts, and playing various instruments including the piano and English horn.
She is survived by her children, Patricia Motta and her husband Robert of Ocala, FL, Ken Stephenson and his fiancé Linda Goldade of Fall River, and Sharon Arruda and her late husband Carlos Arruda of Berkley; grandchildren, Mark Lelierve of FL and Lindsey Stott of NC; two great grandchildren, Lainey and Ellery; and several nieces and nephews.
