Mary M. Losch

Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Alexander and Mary (Kenney) Siwik, Mary was a lifelong resident of the southcoast. She was graduate of New Bedford High School, class of 1959 and North Adams State Teachers College. She was a dedicated schoolteacher for more than 40 years for the City of New Bedford, with her longest tenure at the Sara D. Ottiwell School.

Mary loved her family and many friends dearly. She had a love of teaching from a young age. She loved teaching at the Ottiwell School with her many friends and students there. She enjoyed traveling and skiing. Her love of football began as a young girl, listening to the NY Giants games on the radio with her father. She was an avid NE Patriots fan, especially Tom Brady. Mary was very sweet but feisty during Patriots game. She was also a fan of the 2004 Boston Red Sox.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, William C. Losch of Rochester and her many friends and colleagues at the Ottiwell School. She was the sister of the late Alexander, John and June Siwik.

Her funeral service will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021 at 11:00AM in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford, MA 02745. Visitation prior from 9:00 to 11:00AM. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. To leave a note of condolence: www.rock-funeralhome.com
