Matthew Hardman, age 51, of New Bedford, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in St. Luke’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Tina (Beaulieu) Hardman to whom he had been married for 14 years.

Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Joseph and Cecile (Mercier) Hardman, he was a lifelong resident of the city. Matthew was a 1984 graduate of Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School and was employed as a CNC Machinist with Andy’s Machine Inc. in Middleboro.

Mr. Hardman enjoyed spending time with his wife and children, enjoyed meteorology, vacations to the White Mountains and he loved his dogs and cats.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Alexander M. Hardman and his wife Lisa; a daughter Noelle E. Hardman; a daughter Brandy Machado and a son Dilan Machado all of New Bedford; three brothers Thomas W. Hardman and his wife Michelle of Dartmouth, Richard F. Hardman of Dartmouth, and Timothy J. Hardman of New Bedford; grandchildren Drew Evan Medeiros, Mila Rose Medeiros and Amelia Pearl Medeiros, and several nieces and nephews.

His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 4pm in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Visiting hours will be Saturday from 1 to 4PM prior to his service in the funeral home. I grew up living in same neighborhood with Matthew and attended shoool through the years with him. I remember how we played sports in the old neighborhood. He always lent a hand especially with kids bikes. He was a great guy. I am truly saddened to hear of his passing.
