Maureen E. (Tremblay) Kendall, age 72 of Fairhaven, passed away Monday, August 6, 2018 in her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Ellis Kendall to whom she had been married for 54 years. They would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on August 13, 2018.
Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Roger and Dorothea (Loader) Tremblay, she was a longtime Fairhaven resident. She attended Fairhaven High School and was a homemaker. Maureen loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved everyone she encountered in her life. She enjoyed summering in Maine, playing Bingo, cards and scrapbooking. Maureen especially loved spending time with her scrapbooking friends. She was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Kenneth Kendall and his wife Adelia of Fairhaven, Kevin Kendall and his wife Jane of Mattapoisett and Keith Kendall of Fairhaven; a daughter Lori Ann Charpentier and her husband David of North Dartmouth; two brothers, Richard Tremblay of New Bedford and Donald Tremblay of Fairhaven; a sister Janice Lanzoni of New Bedford, six grandchildren, Kyle, Korey, Brett and Courtney Kendall and Alyssa Cote and Matthew Charpentier; and two great- grandchildren, Austin and Ja’siyah, along with several nieces and nephews.
The family extends their gratitude for all the care and support given by the hospice nurses and attendants from the Community Nurse Homecare at 62 Center Street, Fairhaven.
Arrangements are in the care of Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford. Per the family all services are private.
