Michelle L. Michaud

Michelle L. Michaud, age 50, of New Bedford, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the life-long companion of Jose A. Giesta, with whom she shared 24 years together.

Born in Wareham, she was the daughter of Joseph and Betty (Manchester) Michaud.

Michelle was a loving mother to her sons, and truly loved her family. She enjoyed music, yard work, collecting perfumes, gardening, and taking care of all her pets and animals. She had a heart of gold and an infectious smile that will be deeply missed.

In addition to her companion and best friend, Jose, she is survived by her loving sons, Jacob and Tyler Giesta, both of New Bedford; her sister-in-law, Maria Giesta of New Bedford; two sisters, Jackey Michaud and Melissa Gornitzea; Walter Giesta, Stephanie Giesta, and Aires Giesta and his wife Susan; two nieces and several nephews.
