Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Maurice and Rose Anna (Roy) Deshaies she was a lifelong resident and a communicant of Holy Name Parish.
Mrs. Levasseur was a homemaker. In 1986, she graduated from U-Mass at Dartmouth with a Bachelor’s degree in Humanitarian Studies. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Freetown VFW Post, the Royal Traveler’s, and a league member at Bowlmor’s Lanes. She especially enjoyed time spent with family and friends.

She is survived by four children, Diane M. Reynolds and her husband John of Long Island, NY, Audrey M. Levasseur and her wife Moureen Coulter of Bloomington, IN, James R. Levasseur and his wife Janet of Fairhaven, and Michael J. Levasseur and his wife Susan of New Bedford; nine grandchildren, Christine Reynolds, John Reynolds and his wife Karla, Karen Veary-Santos and her husband Adam, Amy Levasseur, Rachel Goransson and her husband Peter, William Levasseur, Brett Levasseur, Patricia Levasseur and her husband Michael Weaver, and Jacob Levasseur; four great grandchildren, Bec Reynolds, Lauren Santos, Mathew Santos, and Emily Goransson; a sister, Rita Blanchette of New Bedford; a brother, Richard Deshaies of NH; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Maurice and Normand Deshaies and Rolande Goyette.
Her funeral will be Monday, February 3, 2020 at 9 a.m. from the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in the Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 121 Mt.
