Natalia Franco Oliveira, age 61, of New Bedford passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 8, 2020 at Charlton Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of David P. Oliveira with whom she shared 35 years of marriage.
Born in Ponta Delgada, St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Horacio and Bertha (Correia) Franco. She came to the United States in 1966 and settled in New Bedford.
Mrs. Oliveira had managed a group home for Lifestream for 13 years and most recently worked as a certified nursing assistant at the Oaks Nursing Home for the past 3 years.
Natalia was an excellent cook who loved to bake. She loved cooking for others and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. She also enjoyed reading in her spare time.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her children, Meagan Oliveira, Aaron Oliveira and Bethany Oliveira; three grandchildren, Elijah Goncalves, Lucas Bourgeois and Jeremiah Goncalves; three siblings, Laura Franco, Frank Franco and Arthur Franco and his wife Lina; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
