

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Alfred and Helen (Rymszewicz) Rezendes and step-daughter of the late Juliette (Beaulieu) Rezendes, she lived most of her life in Acushnet before moving to New Bedford. She was a graduate of New Bedford High School.
Natalie had worked as an administrative assistant for the State of Massachusetts Department of Mental Health for 28 years.
She was a creative person who enjoyed decorating, knitting, travelling and spending time near the ocean. Always current with style and fashion, she was chosen Miss Acushnet in 1968.
She leaves behind her beloved soulmate, Steve; a brother Walter Rezendes of Acushnet; a niece, Amanda-Kaye Rezendes of New Bedford; three nephews, David W. Rezendes and wife Jenna of Acushnet, Dr. Edwin Weeks and wife Haydee of NY and Brian Weeks of New Bedford; her best friend, Gail Teixeira of Acushnet; and two grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Kevin J. Pires and pre-deceased by her step-sister, Connie.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, January 22, 2016 from 5-8 pm with a Funeral Service at 7 pm in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tufts Medical Center Trust, 800 Washington St., Box #231, Boston, MA 02111.
