

Born in New Bedford, son of the late Howard and Beatrice (Blanchette) Verrier, he had resided in New Bedford for most of his life.
Mr. Verrier proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War attaining the rank of Corporal. He was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Service Medal.
He had worked as a machinist at Morse Twist Cutting Tools in New Bedford until his retirement.
Normand loved working in his yard, puttering around and could fix almost anything. He enjoyed playing cards especially cribbage and was skilled at grilling steak and chicken. Dogs were always drawn to Norm whenever he was near them. He and his family shared wonderful times at the cottage on Lake Noquochoke in Dartmouth.
He is survived by his daughter, Lynn Nanfelt of Dartmouth; his son, Kris Verrier of New Bedford; six grandchildren, Kyle, Tyler, Jarrod and Taryn Nanfelt, Tayler and Andrew Verrier; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Aimee “Bugs” Verrier and Doris Kenyon.
