Born in Fort Belvoir, VA, the son of the late Oliver F. Cronk, Sr. and Ethel (Keefe) Taylor. Oliver lived most of his life in the New Bedford area.
Oliver graduated from Johnson & Wales with a degree in Accounting. He also served in the United States Army.
Oliver was an Alumni of South Side Boys Club in Providence. Mr. Cronk enjoyed glass and stone work and woodworking. He also enjoyed golfing at the Triggs Memorial Golf Club and the Rehoboth Country Club. He loved mowing his lawn with his tractor.
He is survived by a daughter, Lu-Ann Cronk of Providence, RI; a son, Joseph Cronk Schiavi and his wife Stephanie; a step son David Neal and his wife Onny; five grandchildren, Kelly Taylor, Brandon Taylor, Brianna Lucier, Nicole Sealy, and Jasmine Cronk; two great grandchildren, Vera and Adam Sealy; four siblings, Miriam Comeau of Cranston, Florence King and John Cronk of Woonsocket, and Dorothy Cronk of Providence. He was the brother of the late Helen Hassel.
His visitation will be Saturday, March 20, 2021 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford with a service at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
