Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Wilbroad and Annie May (Kratzsch) Meunier, she lived most of her life in the city.
A graduate of New Bedford High School and St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing she worked as a registered nurse for cardiologist, Dr. Jack Howard, St. Luke’s Hospital, and Queens Medical Center in Hawaii where she lived for a year and a half.
She is survived by a son, Christopher J. Hunt and his wife Joy of Manchester, NH; a sister, Phyllis J. Sheerin of New Bedford; two brothers, Robert Meunier and his wife Joan of Portsmouth, RI and Barry Meunier of New Bedford; two grandchildren, Gillian and Emmerson Hunt. She was the aunt of the late Robert T. Meunier.
Her visitation will be Thursday, February 19, 2026 11 a.m. to 12 noon in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Massachusetts National Cemetery.
