Pauline T. Houde

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Albert and Marie Odillie (Grenier) Vezina, she had resided in New Bedford for most of her life.

Mrs. Houde had worked as a stitcher at Schniderson textile mill in Fall River for many years.

She was a kind, friendly and generous person who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Paul Houde and wife Lisa of E. Falmouth and Ron Houde and fiancé Jean Souza of Somerset; a daughter, Lynn Denault and husband Larry of New Bedford; five siblings, Del Gagne of Westport, Gert Galico of Fall River, Jeanne Pichette and Beatrice Houde of New Bedford and Donald Vezina of Fall River; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Jackie Martel, Madeline Houde, Rene, Roger, Paul, Albert and Normand Vezina.

Her Funeral will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 8am from the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford with a Funeral Mass at 9am in St. Mary’s Church, 343 Tarkiln Hill Rd., New Bedford. Visiting hours Wednesday 5-8pm. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
