Pauline T. Prudhomme

Born in Oak Bluffs, Pauline was the daughter of the late Antone and Loretta (Goddu) Swartz. She was a graduate of St. Anthony High School.

Pauline worked for 16 years at Cliftex Corporation before retiring in December 1994. She later worked at the Acushnet Library, where her love of reading was especially fitting. An avid reader throughout her life, Pauline was proud to have received an award for reading 250 books.

Pauline found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved spending time at the beach, traveling during her younger years, swimming in her pool, and gathering with family for cookouts and celebrations. Family traditions and values were very important to her, and she treasured the time spent surrounded by those she loved.

Above all, Pauline was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her love for her family, her warmth, and the traditions she passed down will remain a lasting part of her family's lives.

Pauline was the beloved wife of the late Rene Prudhomme. She is survived by her loving children, Paula Lizotte of New Bedford, and Douglas Desruisseau and his partner, Carol Sawicki, of Fairhaven; her step-daughter, Susan Meny of Virginia; her grandchildren, Allison L. Lizotte and her partner, Jordan Roderick, Matt Desruisseau, Adam Desruisseau, Cara Bernardo, and Tiffini Reedy; her great-grandchildren, Sydney Roderick, Maddy Reedy, Jack Reedy, and Makenna Desruisseau; and her step-grandchild, Lisa Meny Harvey and her husband, Bruce.

She was the mother of the late David Desruisseau.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pauline's memory to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
