Pauline A. Venancio

Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Norman and Mary Anne (Poirier) Levasseur, she spent her youth in New Bedford, lived in La Puente, California for thirty years, and returned back to New Bedford in 2000.

Mrs. Venancio worked for the Diocese of Fall River as a secretary for St. Anthony of Padua Church in New Bedford and at St. Bernadette’s Church in Fall River for many years.

An avid bowler, she enjoyed knitting, playing bingo, and visiting Foxwoods Resort and Casinos, Twin River, and Newport Grand Jai Alai.

She is survived by three sons: Brian Venancio and his wife Emma of Dartmouth, Daniel Venancio and Nathan Venancio both of New Bedford, three brothers including twin brother: Paul Levasseur of OR, Albert Levasseur and his wife Marie of CA, Michael Levasseur and his wife Doris of FL, four grandchildren: Ryan, Devan, and Jeremy Venancio and Nathan Venancio, Jr., many nieces and nephews, and her loving dog Penny who passed away on Wednesday.

Her Funeral will be held on Friday, March 20, 2015 at 9:00AM from the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in St. Francis Xavier Parish, 125 Main St., Acushnet. Visiting hours Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00PM. Burial in Scared Heart Cemetery, New Bedford.
