Raymond Wilfred Lariviere

Raymond W. Lariviere, age 92 of Acushnet, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford. He was the husband of the late Elinor M. (Demers) Lariviere. Born in Greenwich, CT, the son of the late Wilfred and Marie A. (Larochelle) Lariviere.

Ray attended Public School in Connecticut and later attended the Wentworth Institute. Ray was a United States Air Force Veteran, and was employed locally at the Dawson Brewery, Narragansett Brewery, and Polaroid Corporation where he was a Tool Maker, Machinist and maintenance mechanic. Ray was also an active member at the Freetown VFW Post # 6643.

He is survived by his children Diane Lagasse and her husband Ron of Rochester; Denise Bosse and her husband Raymond of Westport, and Michael Lariviere and his wife Jacqueline of Bradenton, FL, and two grandchildren Kevin and Allyson Lagasse; and great grandsons Layne Lagasse and Jared Lagasse. Raymond was also the brother of the late Roger Lariviere and Lucille Messier.

Ray was an avid snowmobiler; he loved the snow and the ocean. He loved to go fishing and sailing with family. He also enjoyed gardening and canning vegetables. His favorite movies were always “the westerns”.
