

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Raymond L. “Ray” Ouellette, 64, of Acushnet, on Monday, November 29, 2021 in St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the husband of Margaret E. (Knox) Ouellette to whom he was happily married for 17 loving years.
Born in New Bedford, a son of Vivian (Beaulieu) Ouellette and the late Joseph Ouellette. He was a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of St. Anthony High School and was later employed as a Production Manager for 39 years at the Acushnet Company prior to his retirement.
Ray was a loving husband and father, who adored his grandchildren. He was an avid NE sports fan, but especially loved the NE Patriots. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and watching his favorite cooking shows. Ray especially enjoyed having breakfast on Saturday morning with his son Peter and loved traveling to the Caribbean with his wife and sister in law Jayne and his trips to Texas to visit his daughter Meredith
In addition to his wife Margaret and his mother Vivian, he is survived by his children, Peter M. Ouellette and his wife Alyssa of Acushnet and Meredith Barroso and her husband Andrew of Round Rock, Texas; Margaret’s two sons, Christopher P. Taylor, Jr. and his wife Melissa of Rochester and Drew Machado of Acushnet; his two brothers, David Ouellette and his wife Roberta of New Bedford and Brian Ouellette and his wife Erin of Buzzards Bay; his grandchildren, Leighton and Audrey Taylor and Mars Machado; many nieces and nephews; and his in-laws, Jim and Shelli Knox, Cheryl and Kenny Walsh, Jayne Knox and Frank and Karen Knox.
