Born in New Bedford, son of the late Walter and Delia (Duphily) Pease. Ray spent most of his life on the family farm in North Dartmouth before moving to Framingham to be close to family. He was a graduate of Dartmouth High School and went on to Northeastern University where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Under a program with his employer, he received his masters degree from the University of Colorado. Ray’s career was spent as an engineer with The Naval Underwater Systems Center in Newport, RI. Upon his retirement from NUSC, he had the time to indulge in some of his favorite hobbies - spending Sundays at High Hill Fox & Coon Club, tinkering around the farm, going to flea markets (The Flea at MIT was his favorite), and attending New England Revolution soccer games with his son and grandson. A longtime season ticket holder, he was a regular at the stadium for many years. Ray loved his family dearly, especially his grandson Colin.
Ray was preceded in death by his brother Joseph Pease. He is survived by his son Samuel Pease and his wife Erin and their son Colin of Ashland; his siblings Edie LaPointe and Paul Pease and longtime family friends The Ruffleys who provided friendship, kindness, and support over the years.
Ray was loved dearly and will be missed.
