Regina F. Kenney, 81, of New Bedford, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Care One at New Bedford. She was the wife of the late James M. Kenney.

Born in New Bedford, she was a daughter of the late Warren A. and Eva B. (Howes) Davis. She was a graduate of New Bedford High School, class of 1958.

Regina had worked at Shaw’s Supermarket for over 20 years. She was a communicant of St. John Neumann Church and a Eucharistic Minister. She enjoyed raising her family and the comforts of her home in Freetown. Regina was a loving and devoted wife and mother and cherished the time she spent with family and friends celebrating birthdays, holidays and special occasions.

Her family includes four daughters, Laurie Souza and husband Robert of New Bedford, Colleen Silvia and husband Robert of Lakeville, Kristine Kenney-Michaud and husband Stephen of Fall River and Melissa Nailor and husband Michael of Dartmouth; her sister, Barbara Crabtree of New Bedford; six grandchildren, Catherine and Miranda Souza, Nathaniel and Abigail Silvia, Meredith and Maggie Nailor; her nephew and godson Kevin Crabtree and nephew Todd Crabtree.

Guests are invited to greet family, Tuesday, September 8, 2020 from 9:00-10:00am at St. John Neumann Church, 157 Middleboro Rd., E. Freetown with a Funeral Mass at 10am. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. I am very sorry for your loss. I did not know Regina but I knew James and met him when he was going to SMU. I am also sorry to hear about his passing. He was a great person, full of fun. May they both rest in peace.

Sorry for the loss of your Mom. I have fond memories of our times at Ma's donut shop and Our Lady of Fatima couples club. I will always remember how she had a smile on her face when she walked in a room and made every smile too. She was a great lady.
