Rita Thatcher

She was born in Boston and was the daughter of the late John and Harriet (Turner) Feeley. She was a graduate of Holy Family High School Class of 1943. Rita worked at Butler Shoes located at Mars Bargainland until her retirement. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross.

Survivors in addition to her husband are six children: Diane McGann of Florida, Robert Thatcher and his wife Georgia of Fairhaven, Cheryl Thatcher of Somerset, Jean Jorge and her husband Jeremias of New Bedford, Jayne Thatcher and her companion Pete Cook of Acushnet, Norman Thatcher Jr. of Fairhaven, one brother: James Florio of New York, nine grandchildren twenty eight, great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 10am at St. Joseph's Church, 74 Spring Street, Fairhaven, MA. Burial Private.
