Robert Viera

Robert Viera, age 92, of Fairhaven passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 23, 2020 in St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the loving husband of the late Lillian (Quintin) Viera. Born in Edgartown, MV, he was the son of the late John and Laura (Peters) Viera.

Robert worked at Morse Cutting Tools as a Special Router for over 16 years. He proudly served in the United States Coast Guard as a Seaman first class, was a member of the Acushnet Lions Club, enjoyed oil painting and drawing, and flew C-Planes in his younger days. Robert loved his family and he will be deeply missed by all.

He is survived by his loving sons, Robert Viera, Jr. and his wife Gail of Fairhaven, David Viera and his wife Nancy of Fairhaven, Andrew Viera and his wife Lauren of Fairhaven, and Jason Viera of Bradenton, FL; 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Robert was the brother of the late John, Donald, Gladys, Laura and Rosie.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2020 from 5-6 p.m. with a Celebration of Life at 6 p.m. in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd. New Bedford, MA. 02745
