

Born in Manchester, NH, a son of the late Willie and Celina (Hebert) Dube he lived in East Freetown for most of his life.
Together Mr. and Mrs. Dube co-founded the Optical Laboratory in New Bedford. He was a great lover of horses and dogs and a real family man. He especially enjoyed Sunday afternoon family cookouts at the pond.
Survivors include a daughter, Diane P. Tichon and her husband Daniel of Fairhaven; his sons, Ronald J. Dube and his wife Mary Beth of East Freetown and Dennis R. Dube and his wife Beverly of Mattapoisett; grandchildren, Shelly Tichon of Fairhaven, Julie Ciffolillo and her husband Jon of Mattapoisett, Jennifer Tichon of Mattapoisett, Kara Dube and her fiancé Dana Fernald of Buzzards Bay, Tyler Dube and his wife Ashley of Quincy, Evan S. Dube and his wife Christy of Marion and Laura Cohen and her husband Philip Cohen of Hopkinton; great-grandchildren, Matthew and Meghan Kelly, Emma Fernald, Charlie, Oliver, and Emilia Dube, Alexandra and Madeleine Cohen and Garison Ciffolillo; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Yolande Cote, Hector, Alpha “Duke”, and Robert Dube and Lea C. Chenel.
His Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. John Neumann Church, 157 Middleboro Rd., East Freetown followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, New Bedford. Visiting hours will be Wednesday 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
