Roland Roberts

Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Arthur and Lea (Landry) Roberts, he spent most of his life in the Southcoast area.

Mr. Roberts was truly passionate about his career as a painter and worked for Cape Cod Cupola for many years and a machine operator at JC Rhodes for 11 years before.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by Four step children, Steven Szlegier of New Bedford, Mary Szlegier of New Bedford, Sharon Szlegier of New Bedford and Scott Vanasse of Ohio; five grandchildren, Joshua Szlegier, Raven Garcia and Nicholas Szlegier; five great grandchildren, Adrianna, Cameron, Lionel, Logan and Lincoln; Three sisters, Constance (Roberts) Sylvia, Lucille (Roberts)Michalski, and Doris (Roberts) Albert;He also had many nieces and nephews.

His funeral arrangements are in the care of ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. His visitation will be Thursday, June 23,2022 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
