

Ruby Alexandra Santos, a beloved resident of New Bedford, passed away on January 31, 2026, at the age of 23, due to injuries from a car accident. Born on May 22, 2002, in Los Angeles, Ruby was known for her adventurous spirit, hard-working nature, and infectious humor. She was a kind-hearted, thoughtful, and selfless individual who left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Ruby was the cherished daughter of Ruby Santos and stepdaughter of Ramiro Mora. She was a graduate of Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School, class of 2021. During her time in high school, Ruby participated in a co-op program that allowed her to train and work in the automotive trade at Tony's Auto in New Bedford. Her dedication and hard work led her to excel in her field, eventually becoming the autobody supervisor. She also earned her certified auto appraisers license, showcasing her commitment to her career.
Ruby is survived by her two sisters, Selina Quiroa and Jakelin Quiroa, her best friend Yairy Santos, and her maternal grandparents, Gregory and Maria Santos. She leaves behind a large extended family of many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will dearly miss her presence.
Ruby was known for her infectious smile and laugh, and her ability to see the best in everyone. She was motivational, trustworthy, and goal-oriented. Her adventurous nature was evident in her love for dancing, modeling, and posting videos. She was also very athletic, enjoying working out at the gym, running, and participating in track events. Above all, Ruby was family-oriented, always cherishing the time spent with her loved ones.
Ruby Alexandra Santos will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege to know her. Her legacy of kindness, humor, and selflessness will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
