Scott John Santangelo, age 50 of Assonet passed away, Tuesday, February 23, 2021, due to a medical emergency, resulting in a motor vehicle accident on his way home from work. He was the devoted husband of Kristin A. (Dorsey) Santangelo to whom he was married for 23 loving years. They were inseparable soulmates for 32 years.
Born in Metuchen, NJ, a son of the late John A. and Ann Elizabeth (Jehnke) Santangelo; Scott was a graduate of Apponequet Regional High School, UMASS Dartmouth where he received his BS in Mechanical Engineering and Regis University where he received his MBA in Production and Operations Management. He was employed as the Operations Manager for Stanley Black & Decker - Lista.
Scott loved to be happy. He was his happiest spending time with his wife and children. Affectionately known as Guppy to many, he was an amazing drummer. He was so proud of his three children. He loved wildly cheering Jakob’s success at track meets, rocking out to Alex’s musical talents on the drums and was the biggest fan of Kora’s beautiful artwork. He loved his two dogs, Hopper and Holstein, and was always spoiling them. Scott was a handy, Mr. Fix It and a true Jack of All Trades. He was often found engineering and sketching his next project for work or home. His favorites included snuggling on family movie night, listening to rock music, playing board games and having a good night of cards with friends. Scott loved the outdoors especially Scout camping, kayaking and fishing.
He will be forever loved and missed by so many, but especially his wife, children, and family.
When you miss him, grab a cup of coffee, tell a good pun and help someone.
In addition to his loving wife Kristin, Scott is survived by his children Jakob (Jake Jake), Alexander (Beebo) and Kora (Pretty Girl) Santangelo, his siblings, Rev, Christopher Santangelo of CA, Michael Santangelo of E.Freetown, Marybeth Bellefeville of E.
