Sharon S. Costa

Sharon S. (Rymut) Costa, born on June 14, 1965, in New Bedford, Massachusetts, passed away on July 31, 2025, at the age of 60. She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Francis and Mary Jane (Almanza) Rymut.

Sharon was a dedicated real estate agent and the proud owner of Sharon Realty. Her career was marked by her commitment to helping others, as evidenced by her achievements in obtaining an associate degree in licensed practical nursing, and her certifications as an EMT and in phlebotomy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Costa Sr. Sharon is survived by her brothers, Donald Rymut and his wife Debra Nichols, and Gary Rymut and his wife Kathy. She was also predeceased by her brother, Dennis Rymut. Sharon cherished Josh Oliver, whom she considered a son, and his wife Kayla. Her nephews and nieces, Jeffrey Rymut and his wife Maria, Tracy Pina, Amanda Gravanis, and Bruce Rymut, also mourn her passing.

In her personal life, Sharon had a passion for rocks and mining for gems, particularly at the Herkimer Diamond Mines in New York. She was an avid nature enthusiast and held a special place in her heart for her cat, Lilly.

Sharon Costa will be remembered for her dedication to her career, her love for family, and her appreciation for the natural world.

Her visitation will be Monday, August 25, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
