Born in New Bedford, Steve was a graduate of St. Anthony’s High School. He worked as an engineer at Titleist Golf Ball Division and prior to that was employed by Chamberlain Manufacturing for 20 years. During his career, Steve completed many technical trainings and assisted in developing patents for product improvement. Many of Steve’s co-workers commented that he was one of the brightest engineers they had worked with and noted his excellent problem solving skills. He would always take the time to listen and had a passion for helping others.
Steve was an avid fisherman and held many records in Massachusetts for bass fishing. He was also a great handyman, who could fix just about anything. Steve enjoyed cooking, music, dancing and was known to be a sharp dresser. He will forever be remembered for his kind, generous heart, warm smile and friendly nature.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Joshua Pepin of New Bedford; three sisters, Rochelle Bonville and her husband Fred of Acushnet, Karen Bakerink and her husband Robert of New Bedford and Suzanne Patrone and her husband David of East Providence; a brother James Pepin and his wife Kristie of Acushnet; three grandchildren, Nathaniel, Kalista and Joienne Pepin and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 10:00AM in St. Francis Xavier Parish, 125 Main Street, Acushnet, MA 02743 and Burial at Acushnet Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited.
