Born in Germany, he lived most of his life in the New Bedford area.
Mr. Brown worked as a machine operator at Allegheny Ludlum in New Bedford for nearly 20 years. A member of the United Steel Workers, he was an advocate for the union and all that they represent for their people.
Tom worked hard all of his life and most of all loved spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife are 6 children, Frank Cortese and fiancé Heather, Daniel Cortese and wife Hannah, Christina Ryan and husband Casey, Tiffany Schillace, Dwight Kennedy and Tyili Brown; and 9 grandchildren.
