

A lifelong New Bedford resident, Mr. Dompierre was the son of the late Aldelard and Anita (Bariteau) Dompierre and the stepson of Lynn Buchanan.
Victor worked as a sample cloth cutter at Kay Windsor/Vanity Fair for 40 years until his retirement. He served in the United States Army in the 82nd airborne. He was a member of the Rod & Gun Club, the 20/20 Angler Fishing Club, the Garment Workers Union and the Buttonwood Park Senior Citizens.
Survivors include his children, Denise Small and her husband William of NE Marysville, WA, Victoria Ryan and her husband Daniel of Tiverton, RI, Victor Dompierre of Marmora, NJ, William Dompierre of Providence, RI, 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
His funeral will be held Tuesday, May 29 at 9am at Rock Funeral Home followed by a funeral mass celebrated at 10am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 4256 Acushnet Ave, New Bedford. Visitation will be held Monday from 4pm-7pm. Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford, MA.
