Vivian C. Sauve

Vivian C. (Pepin) Sauve, age 95, of New Bedford, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in the Oaks Nursing home in New Bedford. She was the wife of the late Roger V. Sauve.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Donat and Cora (Bertrand) Pepin, she was a lifelong resident of the city and attended St. Anthony’s High School in New Bedford.

Vivian is the loving mother of six children, Richard Sauve and his wife Susan of New Bedford, Lorraine White and her husband Michael of New Bedford, Michelle Sauve of New Bedford, Roger D. Sauve and his wife Paula of Dartmouth, Denise Rossi and her husband Robert of New Bedford and Paul Sauve of New Bedford; nine grandchildren, Margaret Sauve, William Sauve, Rebecca Viera, Laurie Hackett, Ryan Sauve, Jennifer Carreau, Michelle Smith, Mark Rossi and Mallory Ring; two sisters Claire Doyon and Germaine Varieur; 19 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Rita Wrench and Jeanette LePage.

Her Funeral will be held Monday, March 12, 2018 at 7:30AM from the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at 9AM in the Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, 121 Mt. Pleasant St., New Bedford. Visiting hours will be Monday from 7:30AM to 8:30AM. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her honor may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Attn: Office of Development, 2900 N. Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607.
