Born in Dorchester, a son of the late Walter H. and Theresa F. (Murray) Bohn, he resided in Acushnet for the past 24 years. He was a graduate of Abington High School, Class of 1976.
Walter worked for the United States Postal Service in Brockton for 35 years. He had previously worked at Wheelock College where he met his wife.
Walter enjoyed watching western movies and was a huge fan of John Wayne. He loved sports, coaching, listening to music and was an avid reader. He served as a Boy Scout and Cub Scout Leader for many years. He had a great sense of humor and always made people smile. Most of all, Walter loved spending time with his family whom he adored.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Walter C. Bohn of Acushnet and Zachary C. Bohn of
Brighton, his siblings, Michael Bohn and wife Judy of West Hartford, CT, William Bohn and wife Mary of West Hartford, CT, Joanne McGuinness and husband Paul of Marshfield, Edward Bohn and wife Jennifer of Weymouth, and the late James Bohn, and many nieces and nephews. Walter lived a very ordinary life in an extraordinary way, and he will be dearly missed.
