Wan C. Gin Hui

Wan C. Gin Hui, age 92, of New Bedford, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 in Alden Court Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Tai Gay Gin, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage.

Wan was born in Guang Dong, China. She was a proud woman, devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Spending time with family was very important. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, cooking, and taking long walks. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her loving children, Qi Ci Zhen and her husband Yong Ming Huang of Dartmouth, Qi Na Zhen and her husband Ya Hong Zhen of New Bedford, Kamyee Gin and his wife Qi Yun Li of Dartmouth, and Kamchiu Gin and his wife En Fen Li of Dartmouth; her brother, Xu Xianrong of China; nine grandchildren, Yanchang Huang and his wife Qina, Winnie Zhen, Shirley Zhen and her husband Wade, May Zhen, Kelly Gin, Rachel Gin, Nathan Gin, Andy Gin, and Jason Gin; two great-grandchildren, Enya and William, and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Xu Caiyi and Xu Meiyi.

Her visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 9:00AM – 11:00AM, with a funeral service at 10:45AM by the family, in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd. New Bedford, MA 02745.
