Yvonne Rita Marie Varieur

Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Napolean and Marie Anna (Chaput) Bonneau, she was a lifelong resident and a communicant of the former St. Joseph’s Church on Acushnet Avenue.

Yvonne worked as a stitcher in the garment industry. In her spare time, her life revolved around her beloved children. She also enjoyed crafts, puzzles, and BINGO.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, David Varieur and his wife Diane of MD, Susan L. Brownell of New Bedford, Janet Holmes and her husband Dennis of MS, Raymond Varieur and his wife Adrienne of MD, Michelle Aldrich and her husband Mark of WA, Theresa Land and her husband Kevin of CA, Denise Mian of MA, Pauline Alves and her husband Carlos of New Bedford, and Lucille Fuller and her husband Bryan of Marion; a sister, Blanche Vieira of New Bedford; twenty grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Roland Bonneau and Lillian Braley.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, 121 Mt. Pleasant St., New Bedford.
