Gregory B. Balder

He was born on August 31, 1964, in Springfield, IL, the son of Ronald J. and Linda L. (Wake) Balder.

Gregory graduated from New Berlin High School. He went on to work as a Journeyman sheet metal worker. Gregory loved being outside, fishing, gardening, attending garage sales, going to watch shows and flea markets, woodcarving, sheet metal carving, and morel mushroom hunting. He was known as a great father, grandfather, teacher, and leader.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Gregory is survived by his daughter, Rachael (Dale) Donelson of Waverly, IL; grandson, Waylon Balder of Waverly; sister, Natalie (Scott) Nichols of Berlin, IL; Chris (Lisa) Balder of Alabama; nephews, Ryan (Madison) Balder and Adam Balder; and beloved dog, Gypsy Rose.

Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.

A graveside ceremony at Woodwreath Cemetery will be announced for a date in the near future.
