

Judy was born in Council Grove, KS, on April 19, 1942, the daughter of Guy W. and Fern L. (Rees) Ewing. She married Larry Walsh on September 13, 1974, in Riverton; he preceded her in death on August 22, 2016.
She graduated from Herington High School in Herington, KS, in 1960. Judy worked for 25 years as a secretary and a medical transcriptionist at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. She was a past worthy matron and member of the Eastern Star -Lalla Rookh Chapter 218 and a member of the Central Illinois Chapter of American Association of Medical Transcriptionist. Judy enjoyed reading (especially mystery), word searches, camping, and volunteered at the Loami Food Pantry.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Earle and Junior Ewing; and sister Phillis Contois.
She is survived by her son, Ron (Coleen) Orme; daughters, Dawn Melcher and Dana Wallace; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 3, 2025, at Loami Christian Church, 309 E. Center St., Loami.
Additional Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Loami Christian Church. A Funeral Ceremony will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Anthony Bliss officiating.
Burial will follow at Walnut Hill, W. Logan County Road, Williamsville, at 2:00 p.m.
