Alan Lee Crawford

Alan Lee Crawford, 70, of New Bern, died December 8, 2013 at home.

He served our country in the U.S. Navy and retired as a Master Chief Hospital Corpsman. He was a member of the New Bern Elks Lodge No. 764, the American Legion Post 539 and he volunteered for the Merci Clinic.

He is survived by he wife Marcia Crawford, one son, Mark A. Crawford of Sarasota, FL; one daughter, Masako Winchester of Portage, MI; one brother, Ralph Myers of Lafayette, IN; two sisters, Patty Shaffer and Linda Huffer, both of Salem, OH; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, December 13, 2013 at Cotten Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army or the Merci Clinic.

We are so sorry to hear of Alan Lee's passing. As cousins I remember spending some time as a young girl at my great aunt and uncle's home with Patty, Linda and Alan Lee.
