Alice Elizabeth “Betty” Jolley, 85 of Dover, died June 12, 2012 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
She was a member of Wintergreen Free Will Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary. Her interests include knitting, reading, gardening and quilting.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Jolley, her daughter, Carol Jolley Cox and her parents, Alvin and Audrey Baldree. She is survived by her son, Elbert Ryan Jolley and wife Tess of Dover; one daughter, Becky Carroll and husband Jimmy of Caton; one brother, Ronald Baldree of South Carolina; one sister, Georgeann Pons and husband Joe of Florida; four grandchildren Courtney, Alison, Beth and David and one great-grandson, Tyler. She was referred to as Aunt Betty or Meme by many, making her the community’s family.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, June 15, 2012 at Wintergreen FWB Church. Burial will follow in the Jolley Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the church. The family will also be receiving friends at the home.
