She is survived by her daughter, Leann; son in-law, Thomas William Wilson and granddaughter, Emily Cole Wilson. Other family in the New Bern area include Sonny & Tay Roberts, Sandra Roberts & Gladys Livermore and numerous cousins, too many to mention.
Ann relocated to the New Bern area from South Georgia, along with her husband in the early 80’s in order to care for her parents, Amelia Hahn Jackson, who passed in 1987; and then her father, Rudolph Hoyt Jackson, who passed in 1991. During her “retirement” years she was active with the Craven Literacy Council and the Area Aging Planning Board. Ann Johnson was a sweet considerate lady who always had a smile for everyone she met. She was a faithful, loving and supportive wife and a caring, generous mother. She loved her family, her dogs and kept up with Braves baseball religiously. She was a lifelong Episcopalian.
Services will be held at Christ Church, New Bern at 1:00 pm, Thursday, September 1st. Friends and family are encouraged to accompany Ann to her resting place at Greenleaf Memorial Park. A reception at the home, 5219 Trentwoods Drive will follow around 3:00 pm. All are welcome.
