April Hope Holton Cash

April is a graduate of New Bern High School and East Carolina University. She worked for the Craven County School District as the librarian. April began her time at HJ McDonald Middle School, then she moved to Grover C Middle School to begin their library program. April retired from Grover C Middle School after 20 years of service.

She is survived by her husband, David Cash; sons, Harold Gene Lilly Jr (Sedrina) and Christopher Steven Lilly (Heather); grandchildren, Joshua Lilly (Christina), John Lilly, Logan Lilly, and Ben Lilly; great-grandchildren, Alexis Lilly, Joseph Lilly, and Isabell Lilly; brother, Rolando Scott Holton (Suzanne); and many other loving family members and close friends.

The family will receive visitors from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Cotten Funeral Home. A celebration of April's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Broad Creek Christian Church. Following the service, April will be laid to rest at Hollywood Cemetery in Olympia, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in April's honor to Broad Creek Christian Church.
