Barbara Ann Dixon

Barbara Ann Dixon, 87, of Reelsboro, North Carolina passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, January 22, 2023. Barbara was born on June 13, 1935 in Craven County to the late Ray Lancaster and Jessie Wilson Lancaster. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. A successful businesswoman that helped found, own, and operate the family business with her husband, Dixon Heating and Air. She loved to read and travel. She was an avid UNC Tarheel fan and seldom missed watching any of their games. Left to cherish her memory are sons, J. Perry Dixon, Jr. and wife Bonnie, and Christopher T. Dixon and significant other Carla Smith and daughter Kimberly D. Caroon and husband Dwight; two grandsons, Noah Caroon and wife Lyndsie and Micah Caroon and wife Catelyn, and one great granddaughter Kyndell Caroon. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her husband JP Dixon and sister Beatrice L. Riggs. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in her honor to New Hope Christian Church C/O Mary Jayne Woodside, 19 Covington Court, New Bern, NC 28560. A Lakeside Chapel Service will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Greenleaf Memorial Park Cemetery, 900 River Rd., New Bern, NC 28560.
