Barbara Faye Evans

A wonderful Mother and Gammy, Barbara loved her family with all of her heart and spending time with them brought her great joy. Through the years she worked hard to provide for her family and did all she could for them. Visits to the beach and growing beautiful flowers were a few of her favorite past times.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Evans of New Bern; her children, Tonya Talvacchio (Joey) of New Bern, Jessi Harris (Keith) of Greenville, and Lindsey Evans of New Bern; sisters, Shirley Dewey of Texas and Glenda Head of Arkansas; brothers, Herman Threlkeld of Texas and Alfred Threlkeld of Arkansas; grandchildren, Tiffany Laxton (Phillip) of New Bern, Tyler Talvacchio of New Bern, Ana Hartman of Tennessee, Ella Jackson of New Bern, Lillie Harris of Greenville and Ryan Mott of Greenville; and one great granddaughter, Paityn Laxton.

Sadly, she was preceded in death by her parents, C.W. and Bertha Threlkeld; son, James Adair; brothers, Sonny Threlkeld, Eddie Threlkeld and Ronnie Threlkeld; and sister, Ethel Meredith.

Friends and Family are invited to a Memorial Service to remember and celebrate Barbara's life at 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at Cotten Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.
