Betty Register Albach

Betty Register Albach, 84, of the Asbury community, Cove City, died August 26, 2015. At the time of her death, she was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church. "Betty Mae" was a woman of strength and character who devoted many years to the care of others, among them her son, mother and mother-in-law. Born August 18, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Simpson A. Register and late Myrtle G. Register. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Gregory L. Bennett, and her two brothers, Curtis L. Register and Sherman A. Register. Surviving are her husband, Manfred, of Cove City; son Steve Bennett (Jennifer) of Castle Hayne, NC; daughter Adele Givens (Wayne) of Jacksonville, FL; stepchildren Debby Reid (Joe) of Las Vegas, NV; Rick Albach of San Diego, CA; and Missy Albach of Onalaska, WA. Also surviving, are her grandchildren, Laura Goldman and Michael Givens of Jacksonville, FL; Shannon, Stephen and Morgan Bennett of Castle Hayne, NC; Tim Bennett of Denver, CO; and three great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church, Cove City, NC with the Rev. Debbie Matthis and Rev. Mike Register officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery after which mourners are invited to join family in the fellowship hall for a celebration of Betty Mae's life.
