Betty Wood

She was a member of Wintergreen Free Will Baptist Church for more than 50 years and she was a member of the Ladies Auxillary. Betty Jo was a loving mother and loyal friend who gave back to her community. She was an avid gardner and cook and she loved to fish and travel. She was a delegate of Farm Bureau and a member of the Woodmen of the World.

Betty Jo is preceded in death by her husband, Darrel Wood. She is survived by her children, Randy Wood and wife Terry of Cove City; Beth Wood of Raleigh; Kathy Jarman and husband Gary of Trenton; Scott Wood and wife Mindy of Cove City; five grandchildren, Dawn Worthington, Kevin Wood, Christopher Wood, Amber Wood, Jared Wood, five great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Worthington, Jacob Wood, Camille Worthington, Hunter Wood and Aidan Worthington, and one brother, Johnny Albritton and wife Jane of Wilson.

Services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Wintergreen FWB Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at Cotten Funeral Home.
