He was in the United States Marine Corps from 1950 to 1980 and was an Air Command Control & Defense Systems Supervisor. Billie attained the rank of Master Gunner Sergeant. After he retired from the Marine Corps he worked as a Deputy with Craven County Sherriff’s Department.
He is survived by his children, Yolanda M. Horsley and husband, Eddie, Kenneth L. Moses and wife, Donna, Karen M. Rhodes and husband, Eric, Constance M. Burns and husband, Craig; grandchildren,
Amanda H. Forney, Melissa H. Yoho, Jessica Streble, Maxwell Oglesby, Taylor Rhodes and Hunter I. Moses.
A memorial service will be held 2:00pm Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Cotten Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the memorial service.
