She is survived by her devoted husband of almost 50 years, Jimmie Cooke. Brenda leaves behind three children: Michael Cooke and his wife, Ruba; Regina Spivey and her husband, Joseph; and Christina Augsburger and her husband, Jonathan. She was a cherished grandmother to eight grandchildren: Jenna, Destiny, Caleb, Nathan, Billy, Sara, Nick, and Lily. Brenda was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Hannah Augsburger.
Brenda had a passion for collecting water globes and teddy bears. She also had a fondness for candy, flowers, and especially roses.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 1 pm at Cotten Funeral Home. A reception will be held immediately following the service.
She was a much loved Wife, Mom, Grandmother and friend and will be missed by many.
