Carol went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 28, 2025, at home, surrounded by her family. Born May 19, 1937, in Fresno, California. Carol, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, lived most of her life in the San Joaquin Valley of central California. Moving to New Bern, North Carolina, in 2012, with her husband Mike, to be near their grandchildren and great grandchildren.
First and foremost, Carol loved Jesus. She accepted Jesus as her savior in April of 1985. The Lord gave her the special gift of ‘caregiver’. She cared for several family members over the years, including her mother, Dorothy, her first husband, Ralph, and other relatives as well as her close friend Alma Poteet.
Carol’s great joy was her family. To her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was Grandma, GG, and Auntie.
Carol loved to entertain and always looked forward to the holidays. For years, Christmas was spent with family and friends at the family mountain home in Shaver Lake, California. And in recent years we all enjoyed her ‘Christmas Eve Mexican Feast’. There are so many fond memories, too many to list. She and her husband, Mike, loved to travel. Seeing Europe, Greece, New Zealand, and several cross country trips to California to visit family and friends. Carol and Mike are members of Broad Creek Christian Church in New Bern, there they met many good and caring friends. Their friendships over the years gave great joy and love. Thank you to all of them for their prayers, care and concern through Carol’s illness.
Carol is survived by her loving husband, Gordon ‘Mike’ Booth, daughter, Debra Peet Strachan, sister Nancy Camarota Collins, daughter-in-law, Shannan Peet, step daughters, Corinne Booth Pointkawski (David), Kathleen Booth, and Kristin Booth. Brother-in-law, Terry Booth (Loretta), amd sister-in-law, Anne Turner.
