

Carol Morgan Campbell, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 27, 2025, in New Bern, North Carolina, at the age of 61.
Carol was born on January 15, 1964, in New Bern, where she lived most of her life and was known by so many around town. A proud LPN by profession, Carol dedicated her working years to caring for others in their time of need. However, her greatest joy was found in the smiles of her children and grandchildren, she absolutely loved the company of her family and was in complete awe of her grandchildren. With her unique sense of humor, she had a gift for turning simple moments and conversations into lasting memories.
Carol was also a big movie buff, and watching films became a special bonding experience shared with several of her children. She was a woman of distinct passions, including all things purple and her admiration for the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.
Above all, she will be remembered for her non-judgmental spirit and her unmistakable sense of humor. Carol possessed a sharp and witty humor that required you to truly know her to appreciate its depth, ensuring that every family gathering was filled with laughter.
She is preceded in death by her baby boy, Jacob Harris, her father William Morgan and her nephew Antonio Morgan.
Carol is survived by her husband of four years, Cornelius Campbell of New Bern, NC. She also leaves behind a profound legacy carried on by her mother, Ann Morgan of New Bern, NC, her siblings, Karen Green (Tony) of New Bern, and brother Michael Morgan of New Bern, her children, Cynthia McKinney of Jacksonville, NC, Patricia Didier of Colorado Springs, CO, Kimberly Harris of Atlanta, GA, Tiffany Nielsen also of Atlanta, GA and Vincent Harris of New Bern, NC, her sixteen cherished grandchildren: Jasmyne, Mariah, Carmen, Christian, Ava, Camryn, Anastasia, Jada, Thomas, Cailyn, Dontae, Cobe, Adam, Vincent, Alijah, and Kaleb; as well as her great-grandchildren, Dewayne Jr, Londyn and another little princess on the way. She will also be deeply missed by a slew of loving in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
The Family has decided on a small, intimate celebration of life.
