She was born in Trenton, NC and was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her husband Franklin H. Parker and daughter Sandra Parker.
She is survived by her children Amy Murphy of Trenton, Kenneth Murphy and wife Carolyn of New Bern, David Murphy and wife Kim of Kinston, Perry Murphy of New Bern, Frank Parker, Jr. and wife Wendy, Tommy Parker of New Bern and Ann Horne of Maysville; sister Maxine Tyndall and husband Elwood and brother Jeff Garvey; fifteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
The funeral service will be 11:00 am Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Cotten Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
