He is survived by his son, David W. Pierce of Belhaven; one brother, Joe Pierce of Macon, GA; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Cotten Funeral Home.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, April 4, 2014 at Neuse River Baptist Church.
Burial will be held at 2:30 pm in the Stony Creek Cemetery in Ahoskie, NC.
