Charmaine May Roadman, age 86, of New Bern, North Carolina passed away peacefully on Sunday January 5, 2020 in the presence of her family at Courtyards at Berne Village. She was born November 8, 1933 in Jerome, PA. She is reunited with her husband, Eugene Roadman.

Preceded in death by parents Harper and Edythe (Adams) May and siblings; Harry, Alleene, Reed, and Paul.

She is survived by her children, Rachel Bechtel & (Billy), Doug Roadman & (Patricia), and Debbie Lewis & (Chuck). Grandchildren, Brandon Bechtel, Josh Roadman & (Stevie), Mitch Lewis, Jessica Roadman, Tyler Lewis and great-grandchild, Aberlin Lewis.

She was member of the Havelock Church of the Nazarene. She managed the Kangaroo in Vanceboro for 40+ years, loved by her customers and vendors.

The family would like to thank the staff at Courtyards and Community Home Care & Hospice. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Community Home Care & Hospice or Carolina East Heart Center.

Celebration of life will be held Thursday January 9th, 2020 at Cotten Funeral Home receiving friends from 5-7 PM and a Memorial Service will follow at 7 PM.

Mrs. Charmaine was very loved by all of us at Courtyards and was part of the Courtyards family. We enjoyed our talks with her and the time spent getting to know her. She will be truly missed. The family is in our thoughts and prayers.
