Clifton was born and raised in Ernul. He graduated from Farm Life High School in Vanceboro, after High School he joined the Air Force and served during the Korean War. One of his biggest joys was spending time with his family. Clifton had a strong faith and loved the Lord.
He is survived by his son, Lee Norman (Linda) of New Bern; daughter, Paula Norman (Keith Carnwath) of New Bern; grandchildren; Ryan Carnwath(Kaitlyn), Hunter Evans, Michael Norman, Tyler Norman; great grandchildren, Archer Carnwath, Henley Carnwath.
A visitation will be held 10:00am Monday, June 21, 2021 at Cotten Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 11:00am.Private burial will be at New Bern Memorial Cemetery.
